Community Projects
LMCHS Interact Club
Interact is a youth Rotary program designed for persons ages 12-18 to provide them a space to develop leadership skills paired with community service opportunities, discovering the power of Service Above Self. Our students discover that serious leadership is seriously fun. Lemoore Middle College High School hosts our local Interact Club.
Interact WAPI Project
Lemoore Middle College High School Interact Club teams up with the Rotary Club of Lemoore to purchase, assemble, and send out WAPIs (Water Pasteurization Indicators). WAPIs are a simple, yet effective tool that helps protect communities around the world that lack access to safe, clean drinking water, by acting as a reusable thermometer.
Rotaract
Rotaract is a Rotary program designed for persons ages 18+ to exchange ideas with leaders in the community, develop leadership and professional skills, and have fun through service. Many Rotarians, including some of our club members, started their Rotary journey in Rotaract. Currently, we are working with community partners to revive a Rotaract Program at West Hills College Lemoore that went dormant during the COVID-19 pandemic and college closure.
Community Clean Up
Our Club is committed to supporting the community of Lemoore. We regularly work with local service clubs and organize Community Clean Up events throughout our city. The Rotary Club of Lemoore, a member of the Lemoore District Chamber of Commerce, partners with the many merchants of Downtown Lemoore to ensure our downtown is clean, leading beautification projects such as planter restorations, weed pulling, and other maintenance activities.
Community Recreation
Youth Plaza
The Rotary Club of Lemoore sponsored the construction of the Lemoore Youth Plaza, conveniently located in Downtown Lemoore, featuring a basketball court, skate park, and snack bar.
Skate Park
As part of the Lemoore Youth Plaza, the skate park sees daily usage from members of the community. The Skate Park welcomes people of all ages interested in skateboarding.
Recreation Center
Our Rotary Club regularly supports the City of Lemoore Recreation Center. From sponsoring youth sports, donating supplies, to constructing new site amenities, we proudly work to help our community thrive.
Boxing Ring
The Boxing Ring is a staple feature of the City of Lemoore Recreation Center. Hosting teams, competitions, and boxing enthusiasts and hobbyists alike, the boxing ring is available for all to use!
Community Support
City of Lemoore
Our Club is deeply committed to the success and longevity of the City of Lemoore. From Community Clean Ups, BBQ Support, and Community Investments, we show up to support our city and its residents!
Lemoore Parks & Recreation
Our community is thriving, with events and activities hosted by the Lemoore Parks and Recreation Department bring the community closer together. Our Club is a proud sponsor and supporter of these events.
Lemoore Police Department
Our Club supports our local police department on various community outreach projects. Lemoore Rotary has contributed to Lemoore Police Department’s (LPD) annual Reason for the Season event, where officers bring presents to under served children in our community, as well as a Santa for Seniors event to spread holiday cheer and build community. The Rotary Club of Lemoore has also teamed up with LPD in shoe drives, as well as the National Night Out event.
Lemoore Christian Aid
The Rotary Club of Lemoore partners with various local aid organizations, with one of our longest serving partners being Lemoore Christian Aid. Our Club supports Lemoore Christian Aid in annual collection drives, fundraisers, as well as donations. These contributions help support services such as a local food pantry for Lemoore and surrounding community, such as Stratford, Avenal, Kettleman, Armona, Huron, and Riverdale.
