Regional Projects
Camp Royal
Camp Royal is a week-long Leadership camp at Sequoia Lake in Kings Canyon National Park for Rotary District 5230. Open to high school students (11th grade) who demonstrate exceptional leadership abilities, Camp Royal helps students build skills and make connects. Our Club fully sponsors students from local Lemoore area high schools to attend this incredible camp.
Kings-Tulare Flood Relief
In 2023, Kings and Tulare County experienced a severe winter storm event that brought historic floods. These floods destroyed homes, decimated crops, and displaced families. Our members, also impacted by the floods, were some of the first groups on the ground, providing relief and support to those in need. District 5230 Rotary Clubs continue to support relief projects.
Equine Therapy
Our Rotary Club proudly supports New Beginnings, an equine therapy program at Lemoore’s Circle T Ranch. New Beginning’s mission is to improve the quality of life for people who suffer from PTSD, depression, addiction, and other psychological conditions. Research has shown that therapies and activites involving interactions with horses has a postive impact on the participant’s well-being, reducing symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and many other psychological conditions, overall improving the quality of life for people who are suffering. One of our members leads this program, and we are proud to serve and support those in the community in need.
Lemoore Rotary Quilt Project
The Lemoore Rotary Quilt Project first began during the COVID-19 pandemic, when Rotary Clubs were unable to participate in international quilt programs. Lemoore Rotary members make professional quality, home-made quilts for a various local and regional groups. 60+ lap quilts have been created and donated to Lemoore’s Christmas for Seniors as part of the Christmas packages that Lemoore Rotary and the LPD provide for local seniors. For our Sleep in Heavenly Peace program, we provide a new quilt for every child that receives a bed provide by the Lemoore Rotary Club. We also donate quilts to Lemoore’s local Dialysis Center, with a goal of 3-4 quilts a month.
